My little zoo animals

Here is a little Halloween preview. Star had a birthday costume party on Sat, so we had a little photo shoot before. Aren't they sooooooooooo CUTE! My little zoo animals. Denton and I will be zoo keepers, so on the big night we will take a photo shoot of all of us. Until then, enjoy the little ones. (as you can tell, Lola was not too happy about this, but she looked precious!)

Day with Auntie Ash

My sister Ashley came to town to visit for the week. We wanted to do something fun with Star, so yesterday we took her to Wacky Tacky! This place was seriously the most AWESOMEST place I have ever been too. It's tubes everywhere that you can climb and crawl thru, big slides and a ball pit that you can shoot foam balls at peeps. This is seriously kid heaven and ADULT heaven. That is what is so awesome about this place. We adults can play too!!

The weird thing tho is that Star was super shy about it. Lame! I had to hold her and climb thru everything just to get her to try it out. She enjoyed it, but would never go by herself. I think if she had a little buddy then she would of been more open about it. I guess playing with mom isn't good enough anymore. Darn!

After, we went to the Galleria mall and enjoyed some good subway and walking around. That mall is huge. It's fun having Ash in town. I sure do miss her when she is not around. I wish she lived closer. She is all the way in Galesburg, Ill. Lame! We will just have to make this week all worth it :)

Catch up

I am such a horrible blogger. I am getting better with taking pictures, now I just need to remember to blog them. Not a whole lot has been going on. Lola is getting bigger, Star is getting crazier, and life has just been fun enjoying our family.

I painted this dresser for the girls room. I thought it turned out pretty cute. I now want to paint EVERYTHING!

Lola loves baths! and as you can tell makes the funniest faces. I just absolutely love her. She is such a joy to our family. She will be 11 weeks tomorrow. I cannot believe how fast it is going. (a lot faster than the pregnancy, that's for sure) She weighs 12 pounds 9 oz and she has the super cute rolls to prove it. I mean look at that double chin. She sleeps 11 hours at night, and is the happiest baby in the world. She is getting really good at smiling, and she wants so bad to laugh but can't quite figure it out, so she just smiles soooooooooooooo HUGE that her eyes pop out. hahahahah!!

My post partum is going well. I am getting my strength back and I am 4 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. WOOHOO!! I did a cartwheel the other day, just to see, and I will probably never do one again. It's amazing what pregnancy does to your body, and there is a reason why gymnasts retire at 16. Your body just can't take it anymore. It was a sad moment for me.

Star is doing well. She loves Lola, and loves to help any way she can. She is becoming a talker. And the fun part is we can actually understand some of it. yay!!! I look forward to the day when she talks and will say something ridiculous!

Denton is almost done with his masters. He is now on the writing part of his thesis. He could be done in December but may prolong it until next May so he can publish some papers and work a little longer for his professor. His professor keeps trying to convince him to stay thru next November, but that is not likely. I am so ready for the career part of our lives to start. Pay off debt, buy a house, etc etc!

I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with such a beautiful family. I feel so blessed to have a husband who will do what ever he can to allow me to stay home and raise our two daughters. I love Star and Lola with all of my heart, and could not imagine life with out them. They bring so much joy and happiness to our family. This is what life it all about. Family!! There is honestly no better joy. I am so grateful for the priesthood and the sealing power so I can be with my family for time and all eternity. I am grateful to my Savior who made it possible, if I do the best I can, to return home. To gain eternal life, which is the greatest of all gifts. I love my Heavenly Father, and my brother Jesus Christ.

I feel like with Lola here, I have neglected posting about Star(unless it's to complain). ha. Star is doing much much better. She has become such a big helper. Sometimes it seems the opposite, but she tries and wants to help so bad so I let her. She absolutely loves LOVES Lola. She can say her name, which is soooo precious. Lola's blessing day

Aug 12, 20012 was Lola's baby blessing. It was such a beautiful day! I have always loved baby blessings. You feel the spirit so very strong, but when it is your own child being blessed, it is truly amazing. The spirit was so overwhelmingly strong, I started wondering why I even wore makeup, I cried so much. The blessing was beautiful. Denton does such a great job. He sounded confident and calm, not nervous at all. I don't remember the blessing exactly, but the feeling I got was she is going to be such a blessing to our family and become a wonderful woman. I pray that I can be the example she needs to prepare her for all that her Heavenly Father has to offer her and wants to bless her with.

After the blessing we went to the Cook's and had a family get together. I feel so very blessed for all the love and support we were shown, not only by my family but Denton's as well. I absolutely love being so close to family again. Not only cause of the unlimited babysitters, but to be able to spend time with all of them! I feel it's so important for the girls to develop a relationship with all of them, and it's so fun to see them play with their cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.

I am so grateful for little Lola Bue. I love that girl soooo very much. She has been such a joy to have around, and its hard to picture how it was without her. I look forward to seeing her grow and her little personality come out. I love you Lola!!!

two kids..... can you say crazy?!

Having two kids is a blessing. There are a lot of woman out there who would trade places with me in a heart beat. But having two kids is a lot harder than it looks and what I thought it would be. One kid was a breeze, piece of cake, no problem! Now having to take care of a new born again takes up so much time. Star is really having problems with it. Most days she does well. As long as I let her hold Lola, or tickle her, play pattie cake, help in any way, etc.. she does well.... most of the time. There are those few moments tho, when I am unable to focus on Star cause I am in the middle of nursing and she goes crazy and hits Lola. I hate to admit this, but the first time she did that I slapped Star across the face. I have never felt so horrible in my life, I cried!

How do I expect Star not to hit Lola, when I did the very same thing to her. It's been really hard cause having a c-section I am unable to pick Star up for four weeks (which is over on Monday... THANK GOODNESS!!) So playing with her has been a little tough. I try so hard to manage my time with her but I feel terrible that it may not be as exciting as it was or could be. I pray that in a month or so things will calm down and get into a routine that will share my time more equally among the two little ones.

Out of all this chaos I am still so grateful for these two beautiful girls. I never knew I could have this much love. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for entrusting me with these sweet spirits. He has a lot of faith in me, and I am grateful for that!

P.S. Any mommies with advice would be most helpful. I admire you for being able to have more than one kid, cause it is not easy but so very worth it!!
